Penpol Times writes about our crew’s visit.
The filming of Triskelion: A Celtic Identity is well underway and here is an article about the visit and the positive impact it had on the children
“The visit was an unforgettable experience for everyone involved, leaving the children inspired by the power of music, storytelling and the preservation of cultural heritage.“
Michael Pearson
We visited Penpol School with the Cornish speaking singer Gwenno Saunders as a part of the filming of Triskelion as they are actively including Cornish language into the school day since 2023 when they have signed up to the ‘Go Cornish’ programme.
She spoke to the children about her mixed Celtic heritage, talked about how she grew up speaking both Welsh and Cornish, and how its important to keep alive a language that had nearly disappeared following the Cornish Rebellion of 1497. “The children were captivated from the moment she began to sing, mesmerised not only by her beautiful voice but also by her engaging presence and fascinating stories.”
